Happy Blogmas day three everyone! I hope you’re all having a wonderful Sunday. I’ve had the weekend off from interning and travelling for the first time in about a month and I feel AMAZING. I’m currently all snug on the sofa watching Arthur Christmas (if you read yesterdays post you’ll know why.)
Today I wanted to talk about candles. I love scented candles so much and my favourite brand is definitely Yankee Candle. They smell gorgeous and I find the price reasonable (plus living in the UK I don’t really have access to Bath & Body Works). I have them lit almost every night and something you may or may not have guessed, Christmas scents are my favourite. So I’m going to tell you about the three candles from Yankee Candle I’m loving this Christmas season, and actually, loving all year round. Let’s go!
Black Cherry is by far one of the most raved about scents Yankee Candle have ever released and to be fair, there’s a good reason for that. Before you even burn it, it smells strong and sweet. Whilst burning it leaves a warm, fruity smell, and leaves the house with a lingering sweet cherry smell which is delicious. There are notes of cherry, almond and cinnamon and it’s definitely a must buy in my opinion.
Cinnamon Stick has been an old faithful of mine for years now. Every Christmas (and throughout the year actually) I bring it out and it leaves my house smelling wonderfully festive. It is however a very strong cinnamon smell, so if you don’t like that (which I know a lot of people don’t) this candle really isn’t for you.
This is a candle I bought very recently. I bought it on a whim, and my God am I glad I did. Like Cinnamon Stick it has a strong scent of cinnamon, but it also carries through some sweet notes too. It’s a mixture of gingerbread and cinnamon, and in a weird way, it smells like the evening of Christmas day. When your house still lingers with the scent of your Christmas dinner. Honestly, hands down, this is my favourite scented candle I have ever had.
What are some of your favourite scented candles? Do you prefer the spicy or the sweet scents? And what brands are your favourites? Let me know!
