Happy Monday! Today is the fourth of December and many of us are going back to school/work so here’s a little bit of festive cheer to help you feel better!
Today I decided that I’d do The Christmas Tag! I’ve seen it floating around the blogging community this Blogmas and I really enjoyed reading the ones I saw, so I had to get involved. I hope you’re enjoying blogmas so far, I certainly am!
What’s one noise to describe how excited you are for Christmas?
Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
Yes! But it’s very specific. Ever since I was little, my brother and I would always get one present to open on Christmas Eve and it would always be pyjamas. Even though now I’m 22, my brother doesn’t get them anymore, but I do, and I get excited every Christmas Eve for my special Christmas pyjamas!
What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?
Every year I get excited for the weekend after my mums birthday, so my parents and I can work on the decorations and we can *finally* put up our Christmas trees.
Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
We have an artificial tree, it’s easy to manage.
What is your favourite Christmas film?
I wrote about my top ten Christmas films on blogmas day 2, but I’d have to say my number 1 favourite Christmas film has to be Arthur Christmas. I’ve watched it so many times already this year.
Where do you usually spend your holiday?
I spend Christmas Day with my parents and then every year on Boxing Day we’ll travel to see our extended family and my nanna. All celebrated with food and wine.
What is your favourite Christmas song?
Fairytale of New York. Simple as that.
What is your all-time favourite holiday food/sweet treat?
I LOVE Christmas dinner. There’s something special about it, and it’s honestly, my favourite dish of all time. Nothing can beat it, nothing. Especially Daddy Williams’ Christmas dinner, it’s the B E S T, I’m not bias, I swear.
Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
I love giving gifts. I love shopping for other people and seeing the look on their face when they open the things you’ve spent so long finding for them. But I’m not going to lie, I love receiving gifts too, I mean, what sane person doesn’t?!
What is your favourite thing about Christmas?
There’s something about Christmas that makes everyone around you happy. The vibe is beautiful and I love being surrounded by the people I love, doing the things I love. I love spending time with my family, I guess I’m just a home-bird.
When do you start getting excited for Christmas?
About July when I watched Love Actually for the first time?
What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?
I honestly couldn’t pick a favourite. I’m thankful for everything and I know I’m the luckiest girl in the world.
What is the worst present you’ve ever received?
My nanna bought me a ceramic chicken. I’m still to this day not sure why.
As a kid, did a sibling ever receive a present that you wished was for you?
Honestly, growing up I was the most privilidged child. I never wanted for anything, and I knew that if I did want something my parents would do whatever they could to make sure I had it, so the simple answer, is no.
What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
New York. Christmas there looks absolutely stunning.
Favourite Christmas Scents?
Cinnamon. Anything with cinnamon in makes me happy.
Do you make New Year’s resolutions? Do you stick to them?
I have stuck to them for the past few years, I tend to make realistic resolutions that I know I’ll be able to stick too.
What makes the holidays special for you?
What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
I kind of feel like I’ve previously answered this question above, being that my best part would be spending time with my family and the vibe that Christmas creates.
You have been granted one Christmas wish… What will it be?
To spend the season happy, surrounded by the ones I love, with amazing food and have the most perfect time. Which honestly, comes true every year.
So there we go! Why don’t you get involved in this Christmas Tag! I’d love to read what you guys have to say, I’ll leave the questions below for you, tag me in your tags and let’s share the Christmas love!
